The first Saturday of September was a very special and exciting day for me, as I’m sure it was for the bride and groom as well. I, of course, have done various different kinds of board orders prior to doing this event, but nothing ever this large or extravagant. This wedding was for almost 200 people! I doubled up on everything to make sure that there was a perfect amount of every ingredient that was asked for. You always want to have enough of each product and a wide variety as well. That’s what charcuterie boards are all about! Options, options, options!!
As a Diamond, we love options, so let me discuss every single one of them that I adorned this table with.

Let’s start with the beautiful brown and gold bread baskets in the back at each corner of the table.
- The dark brown bread on the left here is a soft in texture and rich in flavor pumpernickel bread. I don’t know about you Diamonds, but for me.. dark bread holds a special place in my heart. There’s a hint of something unique that you’ll never get with any other kind of bread. It holds it’s own on charcuterie boards and that’s definitely what you want when you are preparing something like this. The charcuterie itself usually stands out so much that the bread sometimes gets hidden in the background, especially in flavor. Not pumpernickel though!
- The pretzel bread on the right hand side is one your guests will never forget. It isn’t the first type of bread you normally think of to add onto your list of charcuterie board adornments. However, it will become one that you’ll think of quite often once you give it that first go around! It goes incredible with various different cheeses, and dips across the board! It is just a wonderful choice to pair with charcuterie.

Jams, Dips, & Hummus!
For this particular table I did two choices from each category.
- Jams- Apricot and fig.
- Dips-Pimento cheese and roasted red pepper& feta.
- Hummus- everything but the bagel and roasted garlic.
Pro tip when hosting: It is always great to put out little signs next to anything that your guests might not know what it’s inside so that you it takes away any confusion or guessing games. Having everyone know exactly what they’re putting on their plate is very good for many reasons. 1.) It is nice to know exactly what you’re taking a serving of. 2.) If you’re allergic to something you’ll know if you are able to consume the product or not. 3.) Even if guests are somewhat picky, they might try something if the name of it intrigues them in some way!

The meats that made up this charcuterie table:
- Prosciutto
- Sweet summer sausage
- Genoa salami– mini bites and regular cuts, sliced thin.
In my opinion, an excellent trio!
You can’t go wrong.

A charcuterie spread is not complete without some bites of acidity! Here we have a three slotted bowl filled with mouthwatering pickled items.
- Blue cheese stuffed olives.
- Garlic stuffed olives.
- Marinated mushrooms.

Charcuterie boards NEED crackers! They’re a vessel for all of the glorious fixings!
- Big, bold, and beautiful butter crackers.
- Crunchy garlic parmesan pita chips.
- Breadsticks.

Adornments, garnishes, utensils and decorations:
Even though I catered these charcuterie boards at a venue where the wedding reception was being held and there would be plates and utensils there, I did want to provide all of my own tongs, bamboo picks, and napkins for self service. I will continue to do that whenever I have a job where the event is more on classy, upscale side of the spectrum, if they have a party for 50 people or more, or if they request me to provide the tableware. I am absolutely willing to do whatever is requested of me.
- Instead of providing plain old white or gold napkins I went in search to find the best of the best. I wanted a pop of color that had a bit of a tuscan or grecian flare.
- The tongs I chose were gold. They were disposable, however, they really did have such a luxurious look about them that I just loved so much. The size of them were ideal as well.
- The bamboo picks are perfect for helping you pick the pickled items that you’re interested in.
- Since it was in fact a wedding, I felt like rose petals would be the ultimate final touch to add to this table.
- Lastly, I also added in a small picture frame with my logo and business information to let guests know that I do charcuterie and so much more. Anyone can contact me on my socials if they’re interesting in booking me for an event in their life!

A sweet treat to say thank you for choosing me to be apart of your special day!
I am always beyond honored and extremely grateful when whomever makes a purchase of any quantity from me, so I want to say thank you in some sort of way other than just verbally. A gift, free of charge is a gesture I started giving people when the idea came into my mind a few orders ago. I think it’s a lovely way to show acknowledgement and appreciation towards your customers. It makes yourself stand out from other companies or brands as well because there are very few times in my life where I have received anything without actually purchasing it myself. Everyone loves a nice surprise, so it’s added excitement to their day when they get a generous little box of love that they didn’t now they were going to.
- The thank you gift that I gifted the lovely couple was a tray of assorted truffles. I mean who doesn’t love truffles?! Especially chocolate filled ones!

I will always remember special, important days like this.
xoxo
