Delicious Hot Dog Ideas for Summer Farewells

Every single summer I say goodbye to the hottest season with the hottest flavor of hotdogs!

This year it’s a four dog flight!

Years prior I’ve shared hot dog boards that had each bun loaded with beautiful ingredients. However, each hot dog had the same theme, same flavors, and same look. This time, each one of these hot dogs will definitely look and taste extremely different! These are perfect for end of the season snacking by the pool, yet they’re also perfect for enjoying next to the bonfire on a chilly September night before you start building those first Autumn s’mores of the season!

The FAJITA Dog!

Let’s build a super savory, slightly spicy, and superior dog if you are a fajita lover like me!

  • This is a great way to use up leftovers after creating chicken or steak fajitas. All you have to do is sauté to warm and you’ve got yourself fajitas to load up your hot dogs!
  • Choose your favorite bun.
  • Sprinkle Mexican cheese under the steaming hot dog, so that when you’re building the rest of the hot dog, the cheese will have a moment to melt!
  • Grill or sauté your favorite hot dog!
  • Top with a tong full of chicken fajitas.
  • Smear some sour cream on top.
  • Lay down a stick of spring onions.
  • Drizzle some good hot sauce for a nice kick of garnish!

The DILL Dog!

  • The perfect bun.
  • The perfect hot dog.
  • Sliced dill pickles.
  • Pickle aioli.
  • Fresh sprigs of dill weed garnished on top.

Talk about a fresh, yet insanely flavorful bite all in one!

The LOADED TOT Dog!

  • The softest bun.
  • The sharpest cheddar cheese.
  • The crunchiest tator tots.
  • The juiciest hot dog.
  • The crispiest crumbles of bacon.
  • A creamy drizzle of ranch.
  • Garnish with chopped chives.

This dog is your classic pub appetizer mixed with the nostalgic flavor

The ALL AMERICAN Dog!

  • A delicious bun.
  • American cheese laid right over the bun.
  • A delicious hot dog.
  • A squeeze of relish.
  • A squeeze of mustard.
  • Of course, a squeeze of ketchup.
  • Garnish with crushed up salty potato chips.

I saved the last one, as my favorite. In my eyes it’s perfect. It’s classic with a creamy, crunchy twist!

Which hot dog from the flight sounds like the most fabulous hot dog to you, Diamonds?!

Leave a comment down below letting me know and I hope you all had a fun Labor Day weekend!

Get excited for my autumn posts which I will be kicking at the end of this week! Perfect to celebrate the start of football season
