Fall’s Best Pumpkin Milkshake Creation

Shake, shake, shake, that pie into your milkshake!

As we all know, it is pumpkin spice season. Pumpkin pie season! It’s time to combine anything and everything pumpkin that you love into your favorite sweet or even savory treats, until it is time to put the Christmas tree up the day after Thanksgiving. One of my all time favorite desserts are whoopie pies for two reason. The first reason being that it’s hand heldlike a cookie, which is ridiculously convenient! The second reason being that it pretty much combines the greatest desserts known to man into one. You get to experience its soft and chewy exterior, with the deliciousness of a sugary whipped, cream cheese interior, like a cake or a cinnamon roll would have. It is delicate, moist, and crumb like- in the best way possible, and good enough to blend into your favorite ice cream. My favorite ice cream of all time is not pumpkin flavored! However, in the fall, it sure as heck is! I take advantage of these seasonal eats as much as possible because my most-beloved season does not last as long as it should in my book. If I had it my way, it would last forever! I know, I know, all good things must come to an end. Although, before that happens, let’s take advantage of making the most delicious, chuggable milkshake for autumn.

How to shake up this shake?

  • Into a blender add two scoops of high quality pumpkin ice cream.
  • Add in a splash of milk! I like my shakes thick, but you do as you please.
  • Crumble in one large pumpkin whoopie pie. If for some reason you cannot find pumpkin whoopee pies at your local farmers market, or bakery this time of year, you can add in whatever whoopie pie you feel would pair best with pumpkin ice cream.

Now that the shake is made, let’s glaze our glass!

  • If you’ve been around for some time you know that we never just pour a frozen beverage into unfrosted mug or glass.
  • First, run your glass under ice cold water and dry the excess off.
  • Sit the glass in the freezer for as long as it takes you to make your milkshake.
  • Then, right before pouring in that perfect pumpkin mixture, drizzle the entire inside of the glass with caramel sauce. If you have pumpkin sauce that would be a perfect accompaniment as well.

Let’s garnish this gorgeous drink!

  • Scoop a spoonful of cool whip right on top to make this shake even more creamy!
  • Then, add some sparkle and magic of the autumn season by sprinkling festive sprinkles all over that whipped topping!

This milkshake is the most marvelous drink you can serve this Halloween season at house warmings, movie nights, pizza parties, or just to sip on while you spend a breezy, but sunny Sunday afternoon sliding back and fourth on your favorite gliding chair your front porch. The options are endless. It’s a milkshake that’s luxurious enough for adults to indulge in, yet kid friendly enough for children to enjoy while they paint or carve pumpkins with their best friends on a spooky night in. If you’re looking to put the boos in a not so scary shake you can definitely add 1 or 2 ounces of the booze you so choose; to go with the theme of your gathering! If you are shaking this up for a group, you can set out little ramekins filled with different sprinkles, toppings, and edible glitter if you so choose! Guests go crazy for an interactive station where they can build their own unique food or drink to show off, and take pictures of for social media! One thing though is for certain, this milkshake will never not be loved and adorned no matter where you shake it up or who you serve it to.

Get your spoons and straws ready Diamonds! It’s time sip on the creamiest, most perfect pumpkin filled shake you’ve ever sunk your tastebuds into!
