Salami, Cream Cheese, and Cucumber Sliders.

Last Friday I was grocery shopping in Aldi for items to put together a charcuterie tray for my boyfriends sisters 15th birthday party and my mom actually spotted these everything but the bagel brioche buns. She said “Bri, these sound good, should we get them?” I replied, “absolutely, yes!” I had so many ideas running through my head about what kind of sliders I would create with them, but when I think of the everything bagel seasoning it makes me automatically think of cream cheese, of course! What pairings go better with cream cheese them salami and cucumber. A lot of people usually combine two of the three together, but I believe the best flavor profile comes from stacking all three and enjoying them in unity. I believe this combination is going to be the trifecta this summer. It’s a perfect pool day sandwich! It’s salty, meaty, creamy, crunchy, and fresh! Just perfection.

Since the slider is perfect on it’s own, all you’d need are a few snacks around to pick on while you enjoy your summer day out on the patio. Chips and sandwiches are a match made in heaven as well as a big beautiful bowl of fresh fruit salad!

How to stack these sliders:

  • Spread a generous amount of cream cheese on the bottom bun.
  • Season with freshly cracked black pepper and dill weed.
  • Fold three slices of salami on top of the cream cheese.
  • Layer four thinly sliced cucumbers right over the salami.
  • For extra crunch and a touch of garnish shred some romaine lettuce before adding on the top bun.

These are great to make for brunch gatherings, birthday parties, if you’re hosting a cocktail hour. Sliders are one of my favorite appetizers! The buns are always super soft and slightly sweet, and they’re packed with incredible ingredients that leave you craving more. I enjoy making sliders for everyone to munch on before the main entree because you can make each and every one different, so it allows for many food combinations to be explored. I grew up putting salami and cream cheese on my bagels in the morning, so this is that, but elevated! If you’ve never had that together, you definitely have to, even just rolling cream cheese inside of salami. It is elite.
