Flatbreads are fabulous, fantastic, and SO freaking good! I’m obsessed with food that you can be insanely creative with and are able to pile them with either two ingredients, or twenty! It’s always all about the variety for me Diamonds! Flatbreads, pizzas, or open-faced sandwiches of all kinds are something I feel is great for any occasion at any time of the year. You can enjoy a flatbread building night with your girlfriends, for birthday parties, a movie day to binge everything you love watching, or even a wonderful dinner date with your significant other while you enjoy some earthy, fruity wine next to candlelight. All of that I’m sure sounds amazing to you depending what’s going on in your life or what your mood is in the moment. Although, if you don’t have any plans of doing anything at all with anybody but yourself, you can set the ambiance by burning some incense, turning on some music, and setting up a little “create your own own” flatbread bar for one! Sometimes doing activities like this all alone is incredible for your self care, and self love.
You’ll notice in the pictures above that there are EIGHT flatbreads total, but two small ones are exactly the same.

Each one of the seven tasty flatbreads I created!

An important tip you all should know is that I use the NAAN flatbreads! You can find them in any grocery store or local supermarket. I think they are the best in taste and texture.
The first flatbread I put together was a gorgeous cheese and mushroom loaded one!
- How to build:
- Brush some good olive oil all over the NAAN and season with sea salt, freshly cracked black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Spread a thin layer of red sauce all over the seasoned NAAN. You can use jarred sauce, pizza sauce from a local Italian shop, or your famous homemade red sauce that has been passed down in your family by generations. No matter which way you decide to go it’s going to turn out just perfect.
- Sprinkle with freshly shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Sprinkle with shredded mixed Italian cheeses.
- After you’ve sauteed thinly sliced mushrooms in two tablespoons of olive oil and one tablespoon of butter seasoned with everything I seasoned the NAAN with, you’re going to want to scatter them all over the top of your pizza.
- Sprinkle with dried parsley and dried oregano.

- Sprinkle freshly shredded mozzarella all over the barbecued chicken.
- Sprinkle with shredded white cheddar on top of the mozzarella.
- Top with some of the sauteed mushrooms we used on the earlier flatbread.
