It’s time to level up your wing night with some Chesapeake chicken wings!
Not to be biased Diamonds, but I gotta tell you, these chicken wings were the best I EVER had! If you’re a wing lover such as myself, these have GOT to be on your wing flavor rotation for all of your Wednesday wing nights! My mother, who is not a wing person in the slightest was bragging about how delicious they were, so that is really telling!
When creating this succulent, slightly spicy, yet sweet, sticky, and very savory sauce; I completely took my mind to a waterfront patio over looking a bayside on the vacation of my dreams. I asked myself in that scenario, if I were to be eating the perfect appetizer, the perfect bite.. what would that be? The very first thing that came to my mind were wings! Crispy and creamy chicken wings smothered in a sauce you’ve most likely have never had in your entire life. However, if you’re a genuine Dimond.. you’ll be familiar with my creative creations. If this is your first time stumbling onto my blog, welcome! I know it won’t be your last. I will get you very familiar, very fast!
The once in a lifetime Old Bay Blue recipe:

- When purchasing your wings, you can go frozen or you can go fresh. I highly suggest purchasing them fresh from your local butcher. I’ve made them both ways doing all different methods, and I have to say; air frying fresh wings is the way to go.
- The air fryer method: Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees. Spray the basket lightly, just to ensure that there is no sticking or burning from the wings when frying. Right before placing them into the basket, be sure to season with sea salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and as much old bay as your heart desires. I used to not enjoy that seasoning near as much as I do now. I’ve been absolutely loving it, especially going into the summertime. It’s a unique and special savory taste that you can not get from anything else.
- “Fry” the fresh chicken wings for 25 minutes or until extremely crispy. I know some people like their wings crispier than others at times. Just like bacon, I don’t need mine insanely crispy! Although, at 25 minutes on 400, they will come out completely cooked to crisp perfection. (In my professional opinion)

Once that air fryer shuts off and the wings get tossed, this is what wonderfulness you are left with. Seriously amazing, Diamonds! You have got to try these! They’re perfect for wing nights, movie nights, game nights, sporting events, barbecues and picnics, or just for a bite in the backyard on the patio. You don’t have to be on vacation at an all inclusive resort to eat as if you are at one! These wings are impressive, so if you’re looking to put on show stopping dinner party this summer, you must make these creamy Old Bay Blue wings.
