A Bacon Egg And Cheddar Waffle Sandwich. Your Ultimate Sweet & Savory Breakfast.

Breakfast sandwiches have always been my thing ever since I was a little girl. I remember racing to the fast food joints just so we wouldn’t miss breakfast in order to get that perfect bacon, egg, and cheese on a bagel. Unfortunately, most of them don’t even have bagels anymore! Since the day I started this blog I became so experimental with everything that I’ve been eating in order to expand my creativity, which drove me to try some waffles instead of the buttery bagel that I was so accustomed to. Even though this is a classic and simple dish, it’s still something some will be nervous to try if they’ve never eaten cheese on a waffle before. You honestly don’t know what you are missing out on until you Diamonds give this bacon, egg, and cheese on a waffle a try.

Whenever I cook bacon for a circular sandwich of some sort, I always fold the bacon in that same shape so that it can sit nicely on top of the base that I chose. I do this because I never want the bacon hanging off the sides of the sandwich. I prefer each and every bite to taste exactly the same as the last!

  • After the bacon is cooked to your liking.. fry one egg, pile on some sharp cheddar cheese, and finish it off with the crispy bacon. Let this all sit on low heat for about 1-2 minutes until the cheese gets melty and bubbly.

Regardless if you’re making your waffles homemade or they’re popping straight out of the toaster onto your dish, this will be super yummy either way! The two things you can not skip out on though is the syrup drizzle and the squirts of ketchup all around! You can absolutely dip the sandwich in both of the condiments but I believe that this savory beauty needs to be drenched in syrup, and then dipped in the ketchup as you wish. Of course it’s all a preference though!

I know it can be intimidating to search different blogs and follow these intense recipes that sometimes look impossible to recreate. That is why I like to pop on here once in a while and feed you Diamonds with beautiful dishes that only take minutes to put together. This is something special that the kids could also learn how to make with you or you can easily make it your Saturday morning ritual. I mean.. who doesn’t love bacon on a slow Saturday before you stroll the promenades to shop your heart out all day? 😉
