The best way to end the Summertime is with a sweet, salty, and crunchy treat! Bark is the most exceptional homemade candy considering it is so delicious, fun to make, and a unique snack that melts in your mouth while you’re enjoying those last ‘beat the heat’ days by the water. If you’ve never tried lavender before you absolutely should! When it’s used properly with the right portions, in the right recipes, it is truly remarkable. One of it’s perfect pairings in my opinion would definitely be white chocolate. They go together like peanut butter and jelly! I knew as soon as I purchased the culinary Lavender from Hope Hill Lavender Farm that I wanted to make a white chocolate bark filled with crunchy elements and dried fruit that would go exceptionally well with the lavender flavor! If you’re in the NEPA area you’ll have to give them a visit! It’s beautiful, peaceful, and you can try yummy goodies you probably never had before.
First step is to melt the chocolate!
- Melt a bag of white chocolate chips over a double boiler with a tablespoon of wax or vegetable oil to keep things smooth and to thin out the chocolate a bit.

- Grab a sheet pan and pour the white chocolate all over it. Spread it until you get to the thickness and smoothness you want.

TIME TO TOP THE BARK!
- Sprinkle the toppings all over the white chocolate!
- Dried strawberries
- Slivered blanched almonds
- Culinary Lavender

Lastly, add crushed up pretzels for that salty and crunchy bite!

Don’t you just love how all of the colors and textures look up against the white chocolate?!

This sweet treat is just the right amount of salty, sweet, and herbaceous! That word might scare you a bit, but I promise you Diamonds once you taste this combination you’ll really love it! Bark is beyond amazing to pack up into little goodie bags to give as gifts to friends, family, and neighbors. It’s a generous way to say your sorry as well if someone unfortunately had a loss in the family. Parties are also perfect for different types of bark to be served as the star on the dessert table as well. Super sweet 16’s are ideal for that! This recipe is way too elegant and easy for you not to run to the store immediately to grab the ingredients to make it!
